Cadaver Anatomy Lab: A Full-Face & Hand Surgical Dissection and Injection Hands-On Workshop

This course offers in-depth facial anatomy instruction and comprehensive training in botulinum neurotoxin and dermal filler injection techniques. The human cadaver facial dissection workshop allows participants to see and understand anatomic structures. Participants will inject botulinum neurotoxin and dermal filler with formal instruction of faculty.
This activity is designed to meet the needs of physicians, nurses and professional staff members of medical practices specializing in dermatology, plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery and other dermatologic medical procedures.
Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:
Identify the functional anatomy of facial muscles including surface and marks
Recognize the appropriate anatomic planes for injection when using injectable agents
Describe the anatomy of the face in terms of volume loss and structural changes in the multiple tissue layers
Assess a patient’s candidacy for full facial and hand rejuvenation with injectable agents
Perform injections for a range of indications
Identify anatomic “danger zones” which may result in adverse events or permanent injury
Name the specific indications, applications, benefits, limitations and safety precautions of currently available injectable agents
CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS
