Dr. Kristina Derrick is a board-certified pediatric dermatologist and dermatologist. Dr. Derrick is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York. She is the Associate Program Director of the dermatology residency program. Dr. Derrick also treats patients at Paragon Skin Dermatology in Toms River, New Jersey. She attended medical school at University of Nebraska and completed residency in pediatrics at University of California Davis, where she became involved in dermatology research on Turner syndrome. She was a fellow in pediatric endocrinology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and practiced pediatric endocrinology for several years. Due to her experiences with challenging cases of acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, and genodermatoses, she undertook a pediatric dermatology clinical research fellowship. During her fellowship at SUNY Downstate, she was the sub-investigator in numerous clinical trials. Dr. Derrick completed dermatology residency training at SUNY Downstate, followed by an ACGME-approved pediatric dermatology fellowship at SUNY Downstate. She treats children and adults and has particular interest in acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, genodermatoses, pediatric dermatology procedures, and overlap of endocrinology with dermatology.
