Dr. Silverberg has clinical and research experience in a variety of important dermatologic topics affecting children, including: vitaligo; inflammatory skin disorders such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis; and molluscum and warts. Specifically, she has published more than a dozen articles and book chapters on pediatric vitiligo and was recognized as one of the top ten young vitiligo practitioners in the country by the American Academy of Dermatology.
As a clinician, Dr. Silverberg is chief of Pediatric Dermatology for the Mount Sinai Health System, and site director of Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology for the Departments of Dermatology at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Beth Israel. In her academic career she is professor of pediatrics and dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and was formerly clinical professor of dermatology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
